I went on a date a couple of weeks ago

I met her through on of the on-line dating sites. She was an adorable Thai girl, twenty seven years old and stood about five feet tall and weighed in at no more than ninety pounds. The date was to be something simple. It was an afternoon date so a movie and lunch and conversation

We met up at the mall. I took the "red truck" to the mall. they are like mini buses. You ride in back where they have bench seats set up and they have semi regular or established routes. They cost twenty baht to ride and you need to confirm both the fare and the destination with the driver. You pay after getting out. I was so nervous I got out and forgot to pay the driver. He got out of the truck and chased me down

"Excuse me. Excuse me" I hear him shouting.

Oops. So sorry. I apologized and paid him.

Her English was much better than my Thai as I no not how to speak the language. We decided to see a movie first and then have lunch. We found out at the theater they have no movies in English. For English movies you need to go to the airport mall movie theater.

Oh well, it was right to lunch. 

The whole experience was a nightmare. What are you supposed to do if you cannot have a conversation. How do people date without talking?

After lunch we headed upstairs for dessert. Ice cream. I'd not really had any sweets since getting here. I cream sounded good and it was. We split a hot fudge sunday.

During the dessert she popped out her iPhone then the iPad. She had a beautiful smile and to accent that smile she had a veneir with a diamond embedded in it. ----- That was a first, diamond studded teeth. She also conveyed her need to take care of her grandmother.

Where does granny's needs fit into the equations? Do you think granny has an iPhone and an iPad? I wonder if granny has diamond studded teeth. I wonder if she would part with iPhone and sell it for granny's needs?

Apparently nursing pays pretty darn well here in Chiang Mai as that's what she told me she did. I did see some photos of her in surgical scrubs so it maybe possible she was a nurse. I don't really know for sure nor do I really care.

The whole date cost me a whooping 200 baht, about six US dollars. When we finished the ice cream sunday I felt so uncomfortable I told her I had to go and left.

I can only surmise -----------------------. No. I don't even care to surmise on this topic any further...
