I have a cavity

I can see the cavity when I look in the mirror. It's on one of my canines (bottom left) at the base. The location looks particularly painful as it's near the gum line "ouch". I noticed it shortly after my arrival to Chiang Mai. I don't want to think about but once I notice it it's difficult not to look at every time I brush my teeth or look at myself in the mirror. I know,  I need to go to the dentist but I put it out of my mind for a couple of weeks. Yes, I understand the longer I wait the bigger the cavity get and worse the situation becomes. With no one to provide a referral I go to the blogs and do research.

I see a name that pops up and clinic that pops up with some regularity. Then I have a conversation with an American that gives me a referral and the name is one I've seen so I decide to call for an appointment and get one scheduled for the following day.

I make sure to get a good swim in as I've notice a coolation between pain reduced dental procedures after I workout. I'm sure it has something to do with the endorphins flowing through my bloodstream when the doctor is working on my teeth.

Two of my sisters have been office managers for dentists back in the states. Because of this I've not paid for much of my dental work since returning home from prison. Also I have an idea of how things should run in a dental office.

I show up to the Chiang Mai Dental Hospital for my appointment at 3pm. Before I head out I do some research with google maps about so I can get an idea of where I'm heading. I have the name of the doctor and the name of the clinic. The clinic is called the Chiang Mai Dental Hospital and this is confusing for both me and google. We are at a loss. Right away I have anxiety of the location. I have anxiety over every trip to the dentist. Do I need more anxiety over the location? No. I don't think so.

I end up at the right place and on time. This office is run in a very professional manner. I'm impressed and helps a little to relieve some of my anxiety but not much.

Per usual the appointment begins with the standard paperwork then xrays. 300 baht for xrays or about $10 US currency. The xrays are the best I've ever seen. The xray machine moves around in a panoramic motion. It takes less than one minute. They do not place the bite wings in my  mouth and ask me to bite down, then repeat this process over and over again and I wonder why the American dentist don't use this method?

With xrays in hand I see the doctor. His English is pretty darn good. I tell him about the cavity I spotted and how that drove me to visit him. ------ He takes a look at the xrays and asks me if I can point to the cavity then gives me a hand mirror. ---- I point to it.

He looks at the xrays again. Then tells me that's not a cavity, it's an old filling beginning the discoloration process. He says I can replace it and it won't require an injection.

Relief.

"Yes, sure, great. Let's do that"

The procedure is quick and painless. Chip likes that. Easy peasy japanesey. I'm in and out of there in 30 minutes, maybe it was 45.

Shortly after arriving I can't help from noticing dick tracy. I've spotted him several times since coming to Chiang Mai.

"Hello CEC"

Dick looks like a dick as in penis with his bald head. If I was doing something wrong I'd be concerned. I'm not so I see the entertainment value in what's going on. I hope this is costing CEC lots and lots of money.

It would be cheaper for CEC to have me killed but they don't want that. CEC is run by those worshiping the God of fear i.e. the Devil, El Diablo, Satin. They don't want me dead, they want me to suffer.

If I can just get one turncoat I can sue CEC and they have deep fucking pockets and have done me a great injustice. Just one is all it will take. Then the year of time, effort and money will be followed up with an unprecedented law suit and damages awarded to me. I will bankrupt that corporation or take ownership of them.

"There's a new sheriff in town, his name is Chip Knight"

The cost of my visit to the dentist is about 1,300 baht ($45 US)

Because of my struggle to find the dental office with Google Maps before I leave I ask to see the dentist. I tell the doctor about the use of coordinates on his website for the location of the office. I also suggest he put the coordinates on his business cards. Why add to his future customers stress by making finding the office more difficult. It's not the doctors fault Google Maps struggles with many addresses in Chiang Mai but the doctor has a way out, coordinates.

The doctor lights up like a Christmas tree when I share this relavation with him. He's aware of the issue. Now he has a solution.
